This project was undertaken on the 25th of August 2007 and completed in one whole day while we were in Berlin. We bought a huge canvas for relatively little in a small art shop off Frankfurter Allée in Berlin. We decided to design, paint & photograph the finished piece at the Berlin Wall all withing 24 hours.

The type on the canvas reads, "If we show something only on screen, it looks like it is simply there the amount of work does not necessarily become apparent". We selected this phrase because we felt it was relevant to our work at that time. Apologies, but we have forgotten where that phrase originated from.

We designed the canvas from scratch on screen and then started to develop the physical piece using various methods. The typeface was also designed by ourselves for this project only. Special thanks also goes out to Alan who gave us constant support as well as taking some of the lovely photos below.
